Always fancied having a go at clog dancing or morris or want improve your melodeon playing. How about trying your hand (or feet!) at Appalachian dance or unleashing your singing voice? The Towersey workshop programme gives you the opportunity to learn a new skill, develop an exisiting talent or just have some fun!
Throughout the Festival you will be spolit for choice with the range of workshops available. Each day starts with Family Yoga to gentle warm you up before launching into a whole range of workshops in music, dance and song and even circus skills!
Younger visitors also have their own tailor made workshop programme to chose from at the Children's Festival and Shooting Roots Youth Project.

Contemporary European, Scandinavian, Carnival De Lanz, Contra, Cotswold Morris, Rapper, North West Morris, Beginners Ceilidh, Clog Dance, Appalachian Flatfooting with an ever-growing list of tutors including Kerry Fletcher, Andrew Swaine, Jake Jones and Dan Eccles, David Oliver, Cat Kelly and special guest Steve Green from The Ozark Mountains teaching American Old Time.
Kerry Fletcher is our popular resident dance tutor. This year she joins forces with Angles for European Dance workshops, runs her popular Scandinavian and Absolute Beginners’ Dance workshops and introduces Carnival Dance.
Kerry also leads a session designed to encourage young folk dancers to consider taking it up as a career.
Andrew Swaine Andrew has been a regular caller and dance teacher at Towersey for a few years now. He returns after a year in India and leads the way in high energy Contra Dance.
Madeleine Smith Madeleine is an experienced caller, dance teacher and clog dancer who learned from the masters and passes on her knowledge to the dancers and callers of tomorrow.
Lanterns
Alan Horton and his team return to host the popular lantern making workshops. The lanterns made over the Festival will process to the Showground Finale on Monday night. A nominal charge of £1 per person will be made for materials.
Poetry Workshop
For those who love the spoken word or fancy trying your hand a a bit of creative writing then head to The Den for our Poetry Workshop. Led by The Keats Society resident poet Paul "Shez" Sherreard this workshop will be a late morning look at the lighter side of writing and performing poetry.

You will also be able to pick up a copy of this programme throughout the weekend at a whole host of points around the Festival site.
