the den
When Denis Manners (one of the Festival founders), passed away in early 2009 we knew that the 45th Towersey Village Festival would be a special one. At the same time we were planning to put a new quiet space into the Festival. We want the "The Den" to be just the kind of space Denis (or Den to some), would have loved. A place to relax and be with friends, a space for reflection and calm where the excitement and energy of the Festival can carry on around you. An oasis where you can get a great cuppa, read the paper, put a message on the Message Tree and get away from it all.
And as well as all that we want you to bring a great book that you no longer want and drop them into our "give and take" library! You bring an old book and swap it for someone else's old read.
Also look out for our Re-cycled Words Wall. This wall of books will ask people to create new poetry and prose from old works. Drop in have a cup of Tea at the FesTEAval Tea bar and help create some new word art!
