Paul Shez Sherreard is poet-in-residence at Guys and St Thomas’s hospital in London, and also works full time for the City of London Heritage Services producing and delivering a creative programme of engaging workshops for the Keats House museum. Paul is also a co-founder and creative workshop consultant for the Arts Council funded project ‘Hip Hop Shakespeare Company’ (www.hiphopshakespeare.com). His first poem ever was an angst-ridden saga about the channel tunnel – but Shez also wrote poems in celebration of the joys of Marmite on toast and cups of tea, and how nice it is to have a power shower. As he grew older, he ditched (almost) the angst-ridden outpourings, and cultivated his love of simple, light-hearted verse.
