The best entertainment, wonderful settings, real surprises and hidden gems; a cool drink and a plateful of tasty food under a big blue sky where flags and banners flutter in a summer breeze that carries the sound of great music, laughing children and cheering crowds.
Music, dance, spectacle, magic & colour and that special something that you just can’t put your finger on. All of this will fill performance spaces, including the Market Square stage with its 500 tiered seats. Circus Skills workshops for all ages, world class face painting, a free standing climbing wall, the world’s largest parasol, a mobile recording studio and giant wooden sculpture all help make a simply unique visitor experience.
Shop till you drop at over a hundred different stalls, selling every conceivable item from garden herbs and handmade soaps to lustrous jewellery and clothing. Enjoy a mouthwatering array of exotic and delicious foods (including some of the best ice creams in the country) and pop in for a pint at our real ale festival.

A Showground pass covers entry into the Showground until 6pm. Showground passes can only be purchased on the day at the Festival gate (free to Season ticket holders) so just turn up when you please and enjoy your visit. We look forward to seeing you there!

The buzzing atmosphere that a packed Showground creates is clearly not the place for a dog. However well behaved, the sheer number of people, constant noise and heat (on a good day!) make dogs very nervous and we have to ask you not to bring your dog onto the Showground.
