The sessions will lead to a performance that will feature a ship-not something that is often seen in Oxfordshire!
GEOFF COURT AND HIS CRAFTY FUN TEAM ARE BACK!
5-8 year olds can look forward to a great time with Geoff Court and his ‘Crafty Fun’ team in the Green Man Marquee. There will be lots of crafty things to do, games to play, songs to sing, percussion and probably a procession at the end of the weekend.

TONY WILSON STORY TELLER EXTRAORDINAIRE
Travelling all the way from Newcastle we have ace storyteller Tony Wilson who will be telling tales and stories over the weekend, in particular at the very popular Bedtime Stories.
TOWERSEY POWER STATION
We are always amazed at the creativity of people who work in the Children’s Festival and were bowled over by this brand new project that Mark Clark of Craft Times proposed to us for 2010.
Imagine a smoky dirty power station erected in the Children’s Centre and see it gradually transformed into an environmentally friendly structure through the course of the weekend as you add new things to it. Make sure you visit every day and check out the changes or even better be part of this exciting project by joining in the workshop sessions.
WORKSHOP PROGRAMME
After last year’s packed programme for children we have worked hard to make sure that this year’s will be even better. As well as the four marquees; Red Dragon, Green Man, Yellow Sun and Blue Sky with brightly coloured maypole and ribbons. there will be a special space for the library and gentle do it yourself drop in activities.
The Red Dragon Marquee will provide lots of opportunities for the over 8’s. It will also be used for activities that need a large space such as dance workshops and the wonderful Evening Family Shows.
The Green Man Marquee will be the focus for activities for 5-8 year olds
The Blue Sky Marquee will give under 6’s their very own programme of activities just for them (and an accompanying adult).
The Yellow Sun Marquee provides an opportunity for even more music and craft workshops.
MORRIS DANCE
An opportunity to learn and perform some Cotswold Morris dances with Jenny Everett. Bring your dancing shoes and energy!
MINI MELODEONS
Ideal for absolute beginners, these sessions will teach you how a melodeon works and under Ray Langton’s expert guidance you will quickly learn how to play some tunes on the instrument. Mini Melodeons are provided.
UNDER 6’S
There is a great choice for parents/carers to bring under 6's along to. Singing games, percussion, parachute games, stories, mini crafts... it’s a great opportunity to relax with your youngster away from the hustle and bustle of the Festival.
SO MUCH TO DO……..
AND we have a host of our regulars returning to keep the pot boiling; Greg and Kay Smallbone will provide mayhem and noise with singing, percussion and parachutes, Karen Morris will be entertaining the under 6’s. Look out for hoppnig frogs, clucking chickens and quacking ducks! Chris Cole will lead the always packed Bedtime stories with the help of Tony Wilson, and we have Cuckoo Crafts, Table Crafts, Crafty Fun, Drama, Beginners Fiddle and of course the superb Evening Family Shows.
