Location: In the northern end of Site 1 opposite Gate 2.

Principal Use: Children's entertainment and education.

Access: From the Showground walk through Gate 4, inbetween Chez Nous and the Bar and turn right.

Access for People with Disabilities: Site 1 is a level field and the venue is accessible.

Toilets: Nearest are between Children's Centre and Ceilidh Tent. Others are at Social Club.

Tickets: Full Season and Day Season ticket holders only.

With three dedicated marquees, the Children's Centre is the home of the Towersey Children's Festival and boasts an enormous programme for all the family, including crafts, music, dance, song, puppets, stories, face painting and lots more.

Famous for being one of the best Children's Festivals on the scene, children can join in with as much or as little as they like.  Come and spend the day or just pop in for an hour.  Whatever you choose to do, you'll want to come back for more.

Taiko Rangers are a stunning young Taiko Drumming group from Shropshire. They will lead workshops and give performances during the weekend

Steve Halton returns with the hugely popular Family Bat Walk...make sure you bring a torch!

Walkabout Doris and her amazing collection of musical machines

Ade Jowitt-Thrall will provide colourful face painting

Cukoo Crafts offer a great range of craft workshops for children of all ages

Greg & Kay Smallbone are back with more fun and games with songs, music, percussion and parachute games

Geoff Court and his team return with their ever popular Crafty Fun

Sarah Bazely will provide Broom Dance Workshops for the first time at Towersey

Don't miss the Grand Family Ceilidh featuring the Towzer! Workshop Band. The Ceilidh caller will be Martyn Harvey who will also be providing a Dance Workshop for the over 8's.

The stunning ceilidh band Whapweasel will be providing a Children's Masterclass. This is for children with a reasonable ability on their instruments. Bring your own instruments.

Snapshot Productions will provide Circus Skills Workshops and their popular Jellyvision Sho

There wil be a magical Family Puppet Show - Head in the Clouds - performed by the superb Hand to Mouth Theatre

Ray Langton will once agan be leading Mini Melodeon Workshops for the over 8's (mini melodeons will be provided).  New this year will be an Advanced Mini Melodeon Workshop for children who can already play a tune or two on their mini melodeon and want to learn a bit more (mini melodeons pitched in C only).
