Joe (melodeon), Matt (guitar), Kev (fiddle) and Dave (fiddle) met when they were all members of Folkestra, a 17-piece band run by Kathryn Tickell at the Sage Gateshead. After putting together a set of tunes to record on a Folkestra CD, they realised that they loved playing together and decided to enter BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award 2007. And they won!

Since then the band have been touring throughout the UK and they also love to play for ceilidhs and for people to dance to.
