what's new for 2010

It’s Showground Time!
And what you wanted was Seats on the Showground. This year the bigger and brighter Showground will see tiered seating around the Market Square Stage, so more of you can see the dancing, spectacle and magic of the  Showground performances. Last year, more people than ever came and enjoyed the unique Towersey atmosphere and we laid on almost 3 times the amount of entertainment that we had previously had. So adding these seats will just mean even more smiling faces will see more of what we have on offer.

World’s Biggest Parasol
With a 12m span, the stunning MegaSol is a wonderful place to picnic, take some shade, meet friend’s or just go “Wow" at this beautiful giant umbrella.  Take shelter, take shade or just take five!

Hive Nights with Cocoa
In 2009 we introduced some relaxed late night specials at The Acoustic Stage in The Hive.  We had some great music & some real laughs and we are thrilled to be able to deliver an even more diverse programme for 2010.  Bringing you “Bedtime Stories for Grown Ups”, Comedy with Funny Folk & great music with new faces, singer songwriters and some alternative folk........................and maybe a mug of Cocoa!

Perfect Concerts
in 2009 we put a very lovely wash of colour into the ceiling of the Concert Stage, we put some carpet in the front to lie back on and we left even more standing room for those who just like to pop in.  And this year we are are making the venue a bit wider for better sight lines and we are making a lovely cosy bar space with CD stall on the outside of the venue.
