all aboard the festival bus 

Once again Ken and his team are running the London double-decker Red Bus from Thame to Towersey throughout the Festival.  Services will start at 1pm on Thursday and run through to 5.30pm, into Thame Leisure Centre and back to Towersey.  Then, from Friday through to Monday, the first bus will be at 9.30am, running throughout the day with the last bus to leave Towersey at 5.30pm.

For early arrivals, make good use of the Thursday bus.  You could get to Towersey around 12 noon, put up the tent and catch the bus into Thame supermarkets and stock up for the weekend.  I can recommend the view from the top deck of this London Routemaster number 73, even if you don’t need stocks from Thame, the journey and the view across the Oxfordshire countryside is quite stunning.  I can also recommend taking the bus through to its turn around point at Thame Leisure Centre to take in a swim in a 21st Century pool, open throughout the Bank Holiday Weekend.

Tickets on the bus will be £1 per journey for adults and 50p for children.
